Wer irgendwo Geld investiert, will dafür einen Gewinn haben. Wozu Aufwand treiben und Risiken eingehen, wenn man am Ende nichts davn hat, oder sogar leer ausgeht. Dabei gilt, daß die Wahrscheinlichkeit zu investieren fällt, wenn die Risiken steigen oder der zu erwartende Gewinn abnimmt. Nehmen wir eine alltägliche Situation: Du bist in einer dunklen Nebenstraße und ein Mensch mit einem großen Messer greift Dich an und macht den kaum zu widerlegenden Eindruck, der will Dich jetzt umbringen (okay, nicht ganz so alltäglich, ich hab eindeutig zu viele schlechte Actionfilme gesehen)....

Soso, 100.000e Arbeitsplätze kostet ein flächendeckender Mindestlohn von 8,50 € also? Hat dieser Wirtschaftsweise auch berechnet, was es kostet, den Mindestlohn sein zu lassen? Wenn so viele Arbeitsplätze davon abhängig sind, daß Menschen zu wenig zum Leben bekommen… also 8,50 € x 40 Stunden die Woche (wenn man Glück hat und nicht nur 20 „arbeitet“ während der Rest auf ein Überstundenkonto geht, das weder abgebaut noch entlohnt wird) x 4 Wochen im Monat macht, wenn mein Taschenrechner mich nicht täuscht, 1360 € brutto im Monat....

In an article by Jim Finn he argues that God was for capitalism and against socialism. Socialism, according to Jim, is redistribution: He plainly told Joe the plumber he was for redistribution of wealth, which is socialism at its very core. I mention this to avoid misunderstandings. Europeans tend to have a different understanding of what socialism means. I don’t know of a special term for redistribution, maybe because there’s redistribution all around....

There is one sentence in the article of Jim Finn, which I wrote about yesterday, that I wanted to add some thoughts to separately. But first the sentence: Remove sin from the Bible, remove Hell from the Bible and there can be no Gospel. Jim is right here. Somehow, because the gospel means liberation, and without anybody being captive or anything keeping someone captive, there’s no sense in liberation....

I have just come across a blog article on God, fire and brimstone by Jim Finn. It’s a reply to an article by the biblewarroiress, whose blog I follow. The question that is… no, let me start differently: In her article which is headlined with „Terrorizing People to Jesus“ the Warrioress makes a valid point: Asking someone to submit to Jesus Christ out of fear isn’t love offered freely. Threatening them and making them afraid isn’t how God wants us to come to Him....

Die Frage ist ernstgemeint, und stellte sich mir, als ich bei „Hohes und Tiefes“ darüber las, wie eine Pfarrerin die als Privatperson bei einer Beerdigung war zurechtgewisen wurde ob ihres Weinens. Der Verstorbene selbst wäre ja zuversichtlich gewesen, und überhaupt war er ja schon lange krank, man hätte also wissen können, daß er stirbt… Doch was hat das eine mit dem anderen zu tun, frage ich mich. Verbietet es der Glaube, zu trauern?...

Denk ich an Deutschland in der Nacht… In der Nacht bin ich aufgewacht, naja, es war halt noch dunkel draußen, aber um 7 kann man schon aufstehen, und da der Wecker ein Radiowecker ist, kamen auch gleich die Nachrichten. Die tägliche Demotivation vorm Aufstehen oder so… Jedenfalls wurde ich darüber informiert, daß der Deutschen wichtigestes Problem zur Zeit die Zuwanderung ist (nachzulesen ist dat Janze auch hier nochmal, das ZDF verlink ich jetzt nicht, weil die müssen ja irgendwann depublizieren)....

Für einen geliebten Menschen der schwer erkrankt und medizinisch gesehen dem Tod sehr nah ist. Sie hat kleine kinder und einen Ehepartner. Bitte betet für sie und ihre Familie. Inniger dank! Yesterday I wrote about people are leaving church because they don’t find God there anymore, but rather some civilized idol, an image of God we made ourselves and civilized, to have in control. Anybody remember the commandments? Wasn’t there one saying we should not make an image of God? Right! But this was rather about statues. The God of the OT is to be invisible. Yet we do still need some image, to think „God“ at least....

I just ran across a blogpost by Dan Wilkinson on why people are leaving the church. There he responds to a quote by some guy named Ken Ham who claimed people would leave church because of the teachings of evolution and because this would tell them the bible could not be trusted. Then Dan writes why young people are really leaving church, well in his opinion. Read it, I think he has a point....
